This young man's "Pure in Heart" shield pendant is designed from rhodium plated sterling silver. The matte-finished front features three fleur-de-lis, and a polished border edges the shield. The back is also matte-finished and is decorated with a single, Army stripe. Measures an approximate 1-3/8" length and includes a 22" black rubber cord. A stylized lily, the fleur-de-lis has been used to depict French royalty, and is frequently used in both French and English heraldry. In modern day usage, it sometimes represents heraldry in everyday life. Religious meanings include the representation of purity and chastity, the Virgin Mary, and the Holy Trinity.
