Fashioned from 14K yellow gold, this round pin depicts St. Joseph holding Christ in his right arm and lilies in his left. The child Christ is shown with His hand raised giving a blessing. The center is matte-finished, the border polished and reads below, "Pray for Us". Measures approximately 9/16" in diameter. A plated back secures the pin in place, a tie-tack back with chain is optional (not precious metal). Packed in our velvet gift pouch or box.
Also known as St. Joseph the Betrothed and St. Joseph of Nazareth, this Saint was a descendant of St. David the King. He was advanced in years when he was called to be the Betrothed and protector of the Virgin. In submitting to the fulfillment of the prophets' foresayings, and in his obedience to God, he is an example of putting the sacred above his own desires. His feast day is celebrated on March 19 in the Catholic Church and on Dec. 31 in the Orthodox Church.
