Crafted from polished 14K yellow gold, this impressive Mezuzah pendant is fashioned with a beautiful, open-work design. A Star of David of rich, blue enamel embellishes the front of the pendant. This pendant measures just under 1-1/2" in length and includes an actual parchment. The back of the pendant is slightly domed. The Mezuzah (Hebrew for "doorpost") is often fixed to the doorpost of traditional Jewish homes. The first two paragraphs of the "Shema" (Deut. 6:4-9; 11:13-21) are inscribed on a parchment and inserted into the case. It is a reminder of God's presence and God's mitzvot (commandments).
