St. Anthony of Padua (1995 - June 13, 1231, also known as St. Anthony of Lisbon) was a Portuguese Catholic who entered the Franciscan order as a young man. Renown for his evangelization of the Portuguese, he is also known as a great follower of St. Francis of Assisi, and is often invoked for the recovery of lost objects. He is the patron saint of Pauda of Italy, and of other cities in Portugal. His feast day is celebrated on June 13 in the Roman Catholic Church.
