This St. Therese medal is yellow gold vermeil and is fashioned with a detailed, satin-finished image of the saint. A large crucifix is in her left hand, and in her right, she holds roses. The polished border reads "Saint Therese Pray For Us". The back is brush-finished. Measures approximately 1" in length and includes an 18" curb chain.. Packaged in a maroon velvet gift box.
St. Therese of Lisieux, also known as "The Little Flower of Jesus" (Jan. 1873 - Sept. 1897), was the ninth child born to pious parents, Louis and Zelie Martin. At the age of fifteen, she was received in the convent of Lisieux. The first complete edition of her life, including her autobiography, "Letters and Spiritual Counsels", was translated in 1912. Known for her many miracles, as well as for being the patron saint of missions, she was canonized in the Catholic Church in 1914, seventeen years after her death. Her feast day is celebrated on Oct. 1.
