St. Patrick Medals in 14K Yellow or White Gold

This highly-detailed, hollow St. Patrick medal is fashioned from 14K gold with an image of the saint in his bishop's vestments and mitre.  The background is matte-finished and depicts the sun and ocean.  He holds a small church in his right hand, symbolizing the planting of Christianity in Ireland.  In his left hand he holds his bishop's staff.  The border reads "Saint Patrick Pray for Us".  Measures an approximate 11/16" diameter and is available in yellow or white; select color from the selection box above.

Born in Scotland, St. Patrick was captured as a boy and brought to Ireland as a slave to herd sheep.  It was during this time that he turned to God in prayer.  He later escaped to England and received training as a cleric.  After his ordination to the bishopric, he returned to Ireland, converting many to Christianity.  Known as the Enlightener of Ireland, and for his love for God, His feast day is celebrated on March 17.
