Crafted from 14K yellow gold, this beautiful St. Christopher medal features a scrolled, open-work frame. The matte-finished center of the medal depicts the saint with his staff, carrying a child (/Christ) through water. The border reads, "Saint Christopher Protect Us". Measures an approximate 15/16" in diameter.
A third century saint, St. Christopher is known by many as the protector of travelers. Some traditions say that he was a man of great strength whose livelihood was carrying people across a raging river - he is said to have carried the child Christ across one day. A martyr for Christ, his feast day is celebrated on May 9.
