Our Lady of Perpetual Help Medals in Yellow Gold #8204

Fashioned from 14K yellow gold, this lovely medal is both a high-polished and a matte finished. The border reads "Our Lady of Perpetual Help" at the top, and "Pray for Us" at the base.  It's center is adorned with a beautiful image of the Virgin Mary, crowned, holding Christ.  Available in two sizes, 15 and 18mm.  See this design also in our Sterling Silver Medal #8205. 

Known in the Catholic Church as Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the icon that this medal is fashioned after is more correctly called Theotokos of the Passion.  The Theotokos (God-bearer), holding Christ, looks directly at the viewer, rather than her Son.  On the left, the Archangel Michael carries the lance and sponge of Christ's crucifixion.  The Archangel Gabriel, on the right, holds a three-bar cross and nails.
