This sterling silver medal is fashioned with a matte-finished image of the Virgin Mary, crowned, holding Christ. A high-polished border reads "Our Lady of Perpetual Help" at the top, and "Pray for Us" at it's base. Includes an 18" silver chain; longer chains available - choose from selection box above. Known in the Catholic Church as Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the icon which this medal is fashioned after is more correctly called Theotokos of the Passion. The Theotokos (God-bearer) holds Christ and looks directly at the viewer, rather than her Son. On the left, the Archangel Michael carries the lance and sponge of Christ's crucifixion. The Archangel Gabriel, on the right, holds a three-bar cross and nails.
