Theotokos of the Passion (Our Lady of Perpetual Help) Medallions in 18K Yellow Gold #8208

Crafted from 18K yellow gold, this beautiful, icon-style, Theotokos of the Passion medallion is fashioned with intricate detail.  The medal features the Mother of God, crowned, holding Christ, an archangel on each side.  The background is matte-finished; the outer border is polished.  Available in two sizes, 13 and 24.5mm (approximately 1/2" and 1", respectively).  Packed in a Viridian Gold velvet gift box. 

Known in the Catholic Church as Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the icon that this medal is fashioned after is called the Theotokos of the Passion.  The Theotokos (God-bearer), holds Christ, and looks directly at the viewer rather than her Son.  On the left, the Archangel Michael carries the lance and sponge of Christ's crucifixion.  The Archangel Gabriel, on the right, holds a three-bar cross and nails.
