Crafted from polished 14K gold, this St. Michael cross measures approximately 1-1/8" in length, and features cross-bars fashioned with a woven, Celtic design. The center portion is a white gold medal, and features an image of the Archangel battling the Devil with the petition, "Pray for Us" inscribed at it's base. St. Michael has traditionally occupied four roles in the Catholic faith: he is the leader of God's army in the war against the devil and the forces of Hell; he appears at the time of a person's death to drive away the devil and powers of darkness; he holds a scale that weighs the good and evil deeds of the departing soul; he is the protector of soldiers, sailors, and police officers.
