Fashioned from 14K gold, this beautiful St. Gabriel icon-style medallion features the Archangel with a spear in his right hand and a mirror-orb in the left, bearing an "X", an abbreviation of Christ's name in Greek. The image is polished against a matte-finished background. Measures just under 3/4" and is available in either yellow or white; choose color from selection box above (price shown is for yellow - white is an additional amount). The Archangel Gabriel is mentioned in numerous events in the Holy Scriptures, and is especially known for his revelation to the Mother of God that she would bear Christ: he announces the salvation of mankind. It was also Gabriel who announced Christ's Resurrection to the myrrh-bearing women. The mirror indicates that Christ reflects the Father's face, into which the angels cannot look.
