This beautiful and inspirational medal portrays Saint Paul in a solid 14K gold medal. St. Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles in the 1st century. He persecuted the Christian Church at its beginning, but through his vision of Christ on the Road to Damascus he became one of the greatest Apostles and missionaries of early Christianity, travelling and establishing churches throughout Asia minor and southern Europe. He was also one of the major contributors to the New Testament with 14 books of the New Testament traditionally attributed to him. St. Paul is the patron saint of writers, journalists, publishers, rope makers, saddle makers, tent makers, and musicians. He is also the patron saint of Malta; London, England; Cluny, France; Naumberg, Germany; Kavala, Greece; and numerous cities in Italy including Rome and Umbria. St. Paul was beheaded in Rome sometime between the years 64 and 68 A.D.
